As Minecraft, the ever-popular sandbox game with a cult following of millions across all ages, approaches its 15th anniversary, the game’s enduring legacy is celebrated with the introduction of 15 blocktastic paintings that add a vibrant touch to the pixelated world.
Come May 17, these arty additions will join the 1.21 Tricky Trials update, set to release later this year, and features the creative work of artist Kristoffer Zetterstrand, renowned for his pixel art. Crafted within the game itself, these squarish masterpieces pay homage to Minecraft’s nostalgic characters, items, and environments.
The pixel art collection features a delightful array of scenes, from the awe-inspiring sight of the Ender Dragon soaring through the skies to the humble beginnings of a player’s first night in a rudimentary wooden shelter.
Minecraft is turning 15 this year, and to celebrate, we’re adding 15 new paintings!
