Apple recently spoiled fans with an arty assortment of logos to announce its upcoming Let Loose keynote. Now, it’s starting things on a blank slate, kind of, with an interactive twist on the branding on its website.
The graphic depicts a hand holding an Apple Pencil. But here’s the kicker: users can “erase” the logo by dragging their mouse across it. This playful interaction is believed to be a subtle nod to the upcoming Apple Pencil (third generation).

Expected to replace the high-end second-generation model launched in 2018, the new Pencil is shrouded in intrigue. Code discovered by eagle-eyed developers in the iPadOS 17.5 beta hints at new functionalities involving squeezing the Pencil.Interestingly, the first-generation Apple Pencil, still a mainstay for older iPads, will reportedly remain compatible with the new model, ensuring a smooth transition for existing users.
The Let Loose event will be streamed live on Tuesday, May 7, at 7:00 a.m. PT (10:00 a.m. ET).
