Mariah Carey’s Twitter Account Was Hacked & She’s Just As Confused As Everyone

The past month for Mariah Carey has been memorable, to say the least. Not only did her Christmas classic All I Want For Christmas Is You surpass its 25th anniversary and become the first festive song to top Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in 60 years, her Twitter account was also hijacked while she had her back turned for a moment.
On 31 December 2019, it appeared that her Twitter account was hacked and flooded with racist slurs and remarks about Eminem.
For the most part, the tweets seemed harmless, but there were comments that were offensive.
“Merry Christmas You Dumb A** N***as!!” a post addressed to the singer’s 21.4 million Twitter followers read. Another read, “#n***a legalize the word for 2020, you f**king c**n f**ks.”
Some were directed at Eminem, who has been entwined in a feud with Carey for years. “Eminem can still hold this p***y,” one tweet read. Another ridiculed his genitals, and said, “Eminem has a little penis.”
The tweets have since been removed, and it turns out Carey had a rude awakening just like everybody else.
“I take a freaking nap and this happens?” she responded on the account.
All she wanted for the new year was just some sleep.
