NSFW: Model Sells Over US$700K Worth Of Nude Photos To Fight The Australia Fires

California resident Kaylen Ward, also known as the “Naked Philanthropist” on Twitter, has collected about US$700,000 to aid Australia’s bushfire relief. She achieved this by simply selling her nude photographs on the internet. On 3 January 2020, Ward posted a tweet that asked anyone who was willing to donate more than US$10 to one of her elected charities in exchange for a nude photograph of herself.
These prospective buyers had to donate and show her the receipt in order to receive the photograph of her unclothed. The 20-year-old revealed to Guardian Australia that she chipped in US$1,000, herself.
Her promotional tweet had a nude image of herself with an angel emoji to hidden the private areas. In the tweet, she included the list of charities she picked to support. By evening, she had already amassed a total of US$7,000.
Many began praising Ward for her efforts to relief the bushfire crisis happening down under. One user even tweeted, “Not all heroes wear capes, some wear nothing.”
Ward told that has someone who is calculating her sales and as of now, she is certain it is beyond US$700,000.
But with great power comes great responsibilities, the model had her Instagram taken down repeatedly and many others have started to impersonate and steal her identity. Ward strifes through the struggles that come with having her naked body seen by the masses. To add fuel to it, some users have also criticized her method of support.
Ward explained how people will always have their own opinions, especially when it comes to “this line of work.” She shares with Guardian Australia, “If you’re doing it for a good cause and you know deep down you’re a good person, never let anybody get to you or make you feel that you’re less-than.”
