Kangaroo Burgers Sell Out Despite Controversy About Ignoring Australian Fires

A Utah food chain has been criticized for its latest menu item: a kangaroo burger. In spite of this, it still managed to sell out.
The Burger Bar took a beating over an “ill-timed decision” that its meat special of the month would be a kangaroo burger, seeing as how Australia is currently being swept by deadly bushfires.
However, Burger Bar manager Joe Fowler explained that the company ordered the kangaroo meat months ago. The restaurant had even considered canceling the order as selling the kangaroo could appear “insensitive,” but it did not want the meat to go to waste.
Fowler additionally reasoned that Burger Bar’s business would help Australia’s economy grow.
Though the kangaroo meat would have turned some customers away, the restaurant ended up bringing more business in. Burger Bar announced that it had run out of kangaroo meat after selling 400 burgers in two days.
