Kim Kardashian Teases Her New Documentary That Keeps Up With US Incarceration

Kim Kardashian is shedding light on the mass incarceration issue in the US through an upcoming Oxygen documentary called Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project. The two-hour-long documentary will follow Kardashian as she engages with various incarcerated people and their families.
The trailer of the documentary series shows a clip of the reality star listening to a man who has been in prison since he was 16 years old, and has served 23 years so far.
Kardashian also shared in the clip that “people deserve a second chance.”
A 2018 report from the Bureau of Justice Statistics estimated that by end 2016, 2.2 million adults were living in America’s prisons.
This series follows the 39-year-old’s announcement that she is working to become a lawyer. Since then, she has lobbied for President Trump to pardon Alice Marie Johnson, who was charged under a drug and money-laundering case and had been sentenced to prison for life.
