Unedited BTS Photo Of TIME Magazine’s Kobe Bryant Cover Emerges

To honor the late Kobe Bryant who met an untimely demise on Sunday, TIME magazine’s 10 February issue will spotlight a commemorative cover of the NBA legend.
In the black and white photo, the Los Angeles Laker is depicted to be carrying a basketball and taking his final bow.
Justin Taylor, Nike Basketball’s former senior director of digital marketing, was present at the time the stirring photo was taken, and has shared a behind-the-scenes shot of Bryant posing in his No. 24 jersey with his left hand tucked behind his back.
The shoot was carried out by photographer Michael Muller, who was shown capturing Bryant from the ground up.
Muller, along with American filmmaker Mark Romanek, was also enlisted for Nike’s 2016 Always Love the Hate campaign that portrayed Bryant exiting from his final game. In another behind-the-scenes photo shared by Taylor, the basketball star was seen leaving the area as his adoring fans stretched out their arms to him.
“One of the proudest moments of my career was working with him on his retirement campaign, and capturing this image,” Taylor expressed. “The stories I have I’ll cherish forever. I’m completely wrecked.”
TIME magazine’s Kobe Bryant-fronted cover will reach newsstands on 31 January 2020.
