Altered Photos Of Pete Buttigieg Stir Up Internet’s Thirst For #BeardedButtigieg

Pete Buttigieg had a heyday on Twitter, as users began confessing their desire for the Democratic candidate with facial hair through the hashtag, “#BeardedeButtigieg.”
The hashtag cropped up after doctored photos of the 38-year-old with a beard surfaced on social media platforms. According to Advocate, the hashtag led users to pine over the married politician, as well as share their own edited photos of the former Mayor of South Bend, Indiana with some facial fuzz.
“They used to call him Mayor Pete, now they call him daddy,” one user wrote.
Another user took the chance to add on a beard to fellow candidate Bernie Sanders in a tweet reading, “I really hope Bernie walks out on the stage looking like this for the next debate. #BeardedBernie.”
