Models In Absurd Bulbous, Air-Filled Trousers Inflate The Internet’s Amusement

Menswear designer Harikrishnan sent some very quirky trousers down the London College of Fashion’s MA20 catwalk show. Needless to say, they blew up the internet.
Harikrishnan was one of 20 designers who showcased their creations down the runway, but it was clear that his inflatable latex trousers stood out among the rest. The trousers comprised of 30 individual panels pumped up with air through a valve at the base of the ankles, creating “exaggerated silhouettes.”
The pants were fitted snugly on the waist, before ballooning around the thighs and cinching at the ankles.
Harikrishnan told Dezeen that the idea came about while he was playing with his dog, and wondered how “exaggerated objects” would look from a low angle.
He then visualized this concept, and turned it into a reality with the bottomwear, meticulously considering every detail from its textures to colors and patterns.
The bulbous, air-filled trousers caught the attention of the internet, and many likened it to testicles.
“Testicles, but make it fashion,” one Twitter user joked. “Ball bottoms,” another user teased.
