Twitter Is Asking For A New Header And It’s Very, Very Open To Users’ Ideas

Twitter hinted to users that it was in need of a new header, and Twitter users, being Twitter users, chipped in with their otherworldly wisdom and graphic design skills.
All it took was a simple, “We need a new header,” tweet from the social network, and users were well on their way to submitting ideas for the cover image.
It turns out that Twitter is fully open to suggestions. The company promptly updates its header each time a good—mostly completely random—image gets sent in. One account even pitched an ad for their own Twitter account, and the brand gladly obliged.
To show how receptive the company has been to users’ ideas, the current cover is a photo of a parakeet wearing mini sunglasses. Not on brand for Twitter, but at the same time, also very on brand for Twitter.
