Elon Musk Reveals Tesla Cybertruck Is Undergoing Minor Redesign Before It Debuts

During an interaction on Twitter, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk revealed some insights into the production version of the Cybertruck.
Musk announced some changes in its appearance and additional functions. He also expressed that the upcoming active ride height and damping systems would be “game-changing” for a truck.
A social media user asked if the pickup would come with a payload towing calculator, which measures how much a truck can handle. Musk responded positively, stating that vehicle will “also show real-time changes to max acceleration, braking, cornering, speed on gradient and range.”
The 48-year-old clarified some confusion about the electric truck’s dimensions, as his previous tweets mentioned it would be 80 inches wide, while the version revealed to the public was 84 inches wide.
Musk has now confirmed that it will be closer to 82 inches, and come “standard with upper laser blade lights.” He also promised that the production version will look “slightly better.”
The first series of the Cybertruck is set for production in late 2021, so there could be other changes down the line before the eventual release.

Btw, in some prior tweets I’d said production Cybertruck would be ~80” wide (vs ~84” body width at unveil). This is slightly too small. Will be closer to 82”, but come standard with upper laser blade lights.
