Apple’s Mac Pro Wheels Have A Glaring Design Complication Despite Costing $400
Apple’s incredibly expensive Mac Pro wheels are missing an important feature: a locking mechanism.
The wheels cost US$400, and if you intend to attach them to your Mac Pro, you might rethink after watching this video by tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee.
In the video, Brownlee demonstrated that his Mac Pro rolled away due to the absence of locks on the wheels.
The Mac Pro starts at US$5,999, and for the steep price, you definitely do not want it to roll away and crash.
To combat this issue, a Jony Ive parody Twitter account has suggested a useful design that can keep your desktop where it is.
The fictitious ‘Wedge Pro’, which is wittily described to cost “US$999 per wheel,” is a smart way to “keep your desktop on your desktop.” The sleek gray wedge is also very Apple-like, with a black surface that comes complete with an Apple logo to match the Mac Pro.
