The city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus broke out, has been on lockdown, and students have been quarantined in the meantime. As their homework is delivered to them in the form of an app, they are attempting to knock it off the App Store and escape school time.
According to a report in the
London Review of Books, Chinese students are attempting to dodge homework by getting an app called DingTalk removed from the App Store by submitting one-star reviews in hordes.
DingTalk’s ratings fell from 4.9 to 1.4 overnight, causing it to be booted from the App Store.
The app’s makers even pleaded for students to stop the act and prevent the tool from getting removed. “I’m only five years old myself, please don’t kill me,” it responded in a statement.
