Hand sanitizers are on a shortage everywhere, having been wiped out of shelves and resold at jacked-up prices. This means they’re also having a moment online, and have inadvertently been incorporated into memes to help people find positivity amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Coping mechanisms include, oddly, this trend that envisions celebrities as hand sanitizers.
The meme seemingly stemmed from a Twitter thread celebrating Chris Evans’ many iconic outfits and matching them with disinfectant packaging, and has since expanded to include other prolific artists like Jennifer Lopez and Harry Styles.
