Victoria’s Secret Unveils Inclusive Campaign With Curvy Beauties & Trans Star
Victoria’s Secret has revealed a new campaign that celebrates inclusivity.
The new Body by Victoria spring campaign features senior models, curvier beauties, a transgender star and women of color among the mix. The campaign was photographed by Helena Christensen, who is supermodel, as well.
The campaign is the brand’s way of improving its reputation after a string of negative reports forced it to cancel its annual lingerie show.
The cast includes plus-size model Candice Huffine, Jasmine Tookes and Barbara Palvin.
The photos see the models lounging around a cozy apartment, including transgender model Angel, who posed in a black push-up bra and matching underwear. Huffine wore matching lingerie with a black throwover and heels, as she posed sultrily against the window.
Victoria’s Secret has been hiring plus-size and transgender models in the past year. The changes come after its former chief marketing officer Ed Razek faced backlash in 2018 for saying that trans and plus-size models were not right for the brand as they weren’t a “fantasy.”
