Tate Modern Opens Latest Andy Warhol Exhibition Virtually As It Remains Closed

Although the Tate Modern is temporarily closed until further notice, it will still be presenting a curator’s tour of its iconic Andy Warhol exhibition to the rest of the world virtually via its website.
The Andy Warhol exhibition will surround the life of the pop culture icon and revisit his immigrant story, his LGBTQ+ identity, and his artistic influences from death and religion.
The video tour will include curators such as Gregor Muir and Fiontán Moran. The digital concept was brought to life in efforts to bring the exhibition to the homes of those in self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Although our galleries are temporarily closed, we wanted to share the Andy Warhol exhibition at Tate Modern with you,” the caption in the museum’s post reads.
In the same fashion, several other museums, including The Louvre and Museum of Modern Art, have offered virtual tours for people to visit from the comfort of their homes.
