Justin Trudeau Sends Internet Into Hysterics After Using ‘Moistly’ In Speech

Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau grossed himself out after uttering the word “moistly” during a press conference.
Trudeau has been giving updates from his home in Ottawa throughout the coronavirus crisis. Recently, he addressed the benefits of wearing face masks to stop the spread of the virus, describing that they can protect others from potential carriers “breathing or speaking moistly on them.”
Trudeau shivered when he realized what he had said, before adding, “Oh, what a terrible image.”
Twitter users were quick to pick up on the rarely-used word, and before you knew it, everyone was talking about it.
“Masks prevent you from ‘speaking moistly on them’ is the image none of us needed,” news reporter Kamil Karamali said. “Speaking moistly is the opposite of ASMR,” Twitter user Scott Cameron commented.
