NASA Uncovers Magnificent ‘Dragon’ Embedded Across Planet Mars’ Surface

NASA sighted the silhouette of a “dragon” in an image of Mars after it was rotated to be laid out.
The photo was snapped on 4 July 2007 by the University of Arizona’s HiRISE camera, which was connected to its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, at an altitude of 258 kilometers (160 miles). NASA only noticed the “fabled Chinese dragon” when the image was rotated just recently.
The image shows the Red Planet’s Melas Chasma canyon with a red-streaked floor. The canyon is believed to pass through what used to be a lake bed.
NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has been collecting information about Mars’ surface since 2006.
Earlier this month, the space agency released the highest-resolution images of the sun, which could bring more details about how energy flows between the star and Earth to light.
