GitHub Makes Core Code Tools Available To Everyone For Free

GitHub has announced that it will offer its core features to everyone for free. Users can now benefit from unlimited private repositories with unlimited collaborators for teams, including those that use the platform for commercial work.
The company also highlighted that users can enjoy free access worth up to 2,000 minutes per month to GitHub Actions. However, teams looking for advanced options like SAML support will need to upgrade to a now-discounted paid plan.
The Team plannow runs from US$4 per month—as opposed to a previous monthly membership of US$9—while the Enterprise plan starts from US$21 per month per user.
The company aims to become a common resource site for coders by providing affordable pricing plans. The new move hopes to allow “every developer on Earth” to have access to its service.
