Back in 1963, a 36-year-old Queen Elizabeth II posed in front of court photographer Anthony Buckley to have her portraits taken for the Canadian banknote.
The rare set of nine photos will now go on sale by way of auction house William George with a price of “at least £3,000 (US$3,750),” Yahoo News UK reports.
The images, picturing the Queen in a diamond tiara, a necklace, and earrings, were taken in a single photoshoot.
Auctioneer Alex McCormick cited how precious the photographs are, as “it’s rare for ones used for official purposes to come onto the market.”
The photographer was trained by Dorothy Wilding, who captured the first portrait of the Queen for postage stamps dated from 1952 to 1967.
