Pornhub Opens ‘Scrubhub’ Parody Site To Get You More Hands-On About Hygiene
Aside from offering premium content to isolated individuals for free, Pornhub took a step further in battling the coronavirus by launching a website that educates people on… hand-washing.
The adult entertainment platform has created a nudity-free website called ScrubHub.tv, which demonstrates how to wash hands correctly and maintain good hygiene. Satirical hand-washing clips featuring Pornhub models like Asa Akira will be uploaded onto the website.
The stars, together with celebrity figures and musicians, will also go live twice daily to demonstrate their hand-washing routines. The whole site is built to encourage and inform users of the benefits of keeping your hands clean, with a little humor injected into it.
“We wanted to take something as mundane as washing your hands and make it entertaining in the only way we know how (by taking a joke way too far),” said Ani Acopian and Suzy Shinn, who also launched the viral ‘Amazon Dating’ site.
Acopian, a director, and Shinn, a music producer/writer, partnered with Pornhub to turn Scrubhub into a reality, per Mashable.
Pornhub’s vice president Corey Price told Mashable, “Over the past few weeks, the one thing that has been repeated by literally everyone… has been the importance of washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water to protect against this virus. We thought this presented a unique opportunity for Pornhub to bring some joy to something that has become so mundane and repetitive.”
