Elmo’s Dad Encourages Stressed-Out Parents To Stay Strong In Self-Isolation PSA

All over the world, and even in Sesame Street, parents are feeling overwhelmed now that they’re taking care of their kids 24/7 at home.
In a new PSA by the long-running children’s show, Elmo’s father Louie makes a rare appearance to express his solidarity with families who are staying home as nations stay closed off to safeguard residents from COVID-19.
Louie acknowledges the efforts of fellow moms and dads, reminding them to take a break once in a while. In the meantime, Elmo can be heard yelling for him in the background.
“We are all doing the best we can, and that is okay,” the father emphasizes.
The video follows a recent set of PSAs unleashed by Sesame Workshop, starring Elmo, Rooster and Cookie Monster, that show kids the importance of washing their hands and staying protected during the coronavirus outbreak.
