Netflix Fixes Mini But Common Screen Frustration When You Watch Shows On A Phone

Sometimes when you’re in the midst of watching a show, you might tap on your screen by accident, inadvertently disrupting your viewing experience. To fix this slight frustration, streaming platform Netflix has a new ‘screen lock’ option to prevent its player features from appearing the next time your finger leans on your phone display.
The addition was first spotted by 9to5Google, and appears to currently only be available for Netfflix’s Android mobile app.
The screen lock button is located at the bottom left corner, among the menu section where the other options are situated at. To enable the lock system, you will have to first tap on the button, which will replace the pause/play button with a lock symbol.
You can then carry on watching your favorite television shows and films without any intentional interruptions.
To turn off the function, you can just double-tap the screen to unlock the controls, making the pause/play settings active again.
