South African President Getting Tangled Up In His Face Mask Amuses The Internet

Hilarity broke out after South Africa’s president Cyril Ramaphosa struggled to put on a face mask while delivering a speech on television.
The president announced that the nation would be easing some of its lockdown restrictions following next month. He also gave a speech on the importance of wearing a mask when traveling via public transport, before giving a demonstration on how to wear it.
The demonstration did not go as planned, and his mask ended up being entangled during the livestream.
Ramaphosa stretched one side of the mask around one of his ears but struggled to hook the other piece of elastic in the other ear. The mask then ended up covering his eyes, like a blindfold, while he was adjusting it over his ears.
The whole incident has cracked up internet users after seeing how much the president had grappled with the mask. People started sharing photos of themselves wearing their masks over their eyes with the hashtags, “#MaskOnChallenge” and “#CyrilMaskChallenge.”
The president has responded to the blunder and joked that he should open a television channel to teach people how to put on a mask.
