Kim Jong-Un’s Sister Becomes Internet’s Weird New Crush After His Health Scare

While news about the health of North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un remains tight-lipped following his heart surgery, people are flooding the internet with memes over his sister, Kim Yo-jong.
Internet users are oddly finding themselves fantasizing about the North Korean leader’s sibling, and have even artworks and fancams of her. This follows after he was reportedly in “poor health” as a result of a cardiovascular procedure.
According to CNN, Kim Jong-un was purportedly in “grave danger” and had missed the birthday celebration of his grandfather on 15 April. The news outletfollowed up with news citing South Korean officials that he was “alive and well.”.
In light of the health scare, Kim’s sister, Yo-jong, found herself in the spotlight as she was believed to be his successor until Kim Jong-un’s son would become old enough to take power.
A photo of her eating a piece of bread while running has been compared with many anime scenarios. An artist created a manga version of her, complete with bread in her mouth and the caption, “Hi, my name is Kim Yo-jong and I’m late for my first day as a dictator.”
Others created fan footage of Kim Yo-jong along with effects, transitions and music to celebrate the potential successor. Take a look at some absurd responses below.
