Jared Kushner Baffles Viewers After Calling COVID-19 Response ‘A Success Story’

Jared Kushner left the public concerned after describing the federal response to the coronavirus as a “success story.”
“We’re on the other side of the medical aspect of this, and I think that we’ve achieved all the different milestones that are needed,” Kushner told Fox & Friends. “The Federal Government rose to the challenge and this is a great success story. I think that that’s really what needs to be told.”
Kushner’s comments came after the death toll in the US surpassed 58,000 on Tuesday. He also predicted that by July, US will be “really rocking again.”
“May will be a transition month. You’ll see a lot of states starting to phase in the different reopening based on the safety guidelines that president Trump outlines on 19 April, and I think you’ll see by June a lot of the country should be back to normal. And the hope is that by July the country’s really rocking again,” Kushner said.
Viewers were quick to zero in on Kushner’s comment by citing other “success stories” of the ilk.
“My home school teaching career is also a ‘Great Success Story’,” one Twitter user sarcastically remarked. Others just slammed Kushner over the “tone-deaf” remark.
“I wonder what he would consider to be a failure?” @JoyceWhiteVance asked on Twitter. “How f*cking tone deaf, clueless, and uncaring can one person be?” @WalshFreedom wrote. Check out more responses below.
