‘Harry Potter’-Inspired Face Mask Unravels Secret Marauder’s Map
An artist has gained tons of followers on TikTok for her ability to transform an average face mask into a work of art.
Colorado artist Stefanie Hook shared a clip on TikTok showing her donning what first appears to be an average mask, only for it to change color and reveal an intricate design of the Marauder’s Map from the Harry Potter franchise after she breathes.
Speaking about her viral video, Hook told Insider that she created the mask to “bring some magic” into this world.
Hook runs a website called Colorado Pony Express, where she sells plush toys, accessories and face masks. The masks are apparently medical-grade, but were designed based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s sewing instructions.
Her Harry Potter-inspired mask is an example of an “interactive item” that she loves to create. Hook said that she strives to “bring imagination to life” in the form of her products so that they are not “one-dimensional.”
“I like to bring magic into the real world in hopes to further inspire others to create and be creative,” she continued.
Hook explained that she used simple tools like the sewing machine, cotton fabric and color-changing pigment to create the mask, and demonstrated one of her prototypes in the TikTok video.
