Trump Gets Trolled For His Powerful New ‘Wall’ Surrounding White House

President Donald Trump is igniting more jokes because of a new “wall” surrounding the White House.
Amid ongoing protests following the murder of George Floyd, a new fence has been installed around the White House. The newly erected barrier has quickly become the butt of jokes on Twitter, as many drew comparisons to Trump’s US-Mexico border that began construction months back.
Social media users couldn’t help but tease that Mexico should be expecting a “bill” from Trump for the fence. “Trump finally built his wall. Mexico, expect a bill in the mail,” a Twitter user wrote alongside a photo of the black fence. “Did Mexico pay for the fence erected around the White House?” another user asked.
The new structure was delivered by truck, as seen in a video captured by a reporter. “More fencing going up around the White House complex early this morning,” CNN’s Betsey Klein said.
It is quite apparent to many that the fences were installed to keep protesters at bay. “First, Trump built a wall along Mexico’s border. Now he is building a wall of fence in Washington DC so citizens can’t get near the WH,” a Twitter user spoke out.
