Banksy Sets American Flag On Fire In Startling Artwork In Support Of BLM

Banksy has voiced out on social media in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. The elusive street artist, who is known for his provocative art, described that “people of color are being failed by the system.”
A new painting by the artist shows a memorial including a candle and a photo of an anonymous black figure. The vigil candle’s flame is also torching the American flag.
“At first I thought I should just shut up and listen to black people about this issue. But why would I do that? It’s not their problem, it’s mine,” he continued. “This is a white problem. And if white people don’t fix it, someone will have to come upstairs and kick the door in.”
The artwork appeared after thousands of people in the US and other cities gathered to protest the killing of George Floyd after a white police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
