Look Up ‘Racist’ On Twitter And You’ll Find Donald Trump’s Account Right Away

If you search the word “Racist” on Twitter, you’ll find Donald Trump’s official account in the results.
Several Twitter users have found the @realDonaldTrump account popping up in the search results under the ‘People’ tab when the word “racist” is looked up on the platform.
According to CNET, a Twitter spokeswoman addressed that accounts will often turn up search results when specific terms are associated with the accounts. This means that the algorithm must have noticed the word being used commonly in tweets with Trump’s Twitter handle.
The president is facing several feuds with the social media industry. Previously, Twitter labeled one of his tweets as “misleading” and hid another for “glorifying violence.”
Twitter also removed Trump’s tribute video for George Floyd due to copyright violations. Trump, on the other hand, railed against the platform for censoring him, which led him to sign an executive order to revoke the Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, a law that protects social media platforms from legal trouble. He also condemned the platform for supporting “radical left democrats.”
