Howard Stern Responds To Donald Trump Jr. Blasting His 1993 Blackface Sketch

Donald Trump Jr. took a jab at radio personality Howard Stern by sharing a clip of Stern wearing blackface during a 1993 pay-per-view New Year’s Eve special show.
Stern played white actor Ted Danson, while Sherman Hemsley took on the role as Danson’s then-girlfriend Whoopi Goldberg. The radio jockey used offensive African-American Vernacular English to portray the character and even uttered the N-word several times.
Stern later went on his SiriusXM radio show this week to explain that the sketch was a parody of Goldberg and Danson during the 1993 Friars Club roast when Danson wore blackface. Stern said that he regrets the distasteful decision, and has since grown from then.
“The s**t I did was f**king crazy,” Stern said, as reported by Deadline. “I’ll be the first to admit. I won’t go back and watch those old shows; it’s like, who is that guy. But that was my shtick, that’s what I did and I own it.”
Stern went on to address his past antics and admitted that going for therapy had changed him. He also snidely suggested that Trump Jr. and his father should undergo psychotherapy to transform themselves.
“Why not change the way you’re approaching things because wearing a mask is not a bad thing. Telling people the actual size of the crowd at your inauguration is okay. Attacking me during the coronavirus and Black Lives Matter is absolutely f**king crazy,” he added.
