Donald Trump Jr. has taken to Instagram in an attempt to explain what might have gone on behind the scenes of his father’s viral “walk of shame” photo.

Trump Jr. posted a photo of the US president looking exhausted and “defeated” after his disappointing rally at Tulsa. Trump Jr. also copied and pasted the caption from a post of another account, which he claimed would be the “perfect description” of his father’s outlook when the image was taken.

“This picture is not a fraud. This is the look far too many of us that have worked a night shift or a 48-hour shift or a third job are too familiar with,” the description read. “This is, been working my ass off for the American people, good old fashion exhaustion, born of love.”



The president’s disposition was also described as a “candid shot that screams ‘I’ll do anything for my country!’”

Trump’s critics have branded the image a “walk of shame” after they saw him looking “defeated” as he climbed down the Marine One. The image went viral and became meme-worthy material.
