World’s Space Agencies Create Map Showing How COVID-19 Has Changed Your Hometown

It’s no surprise that the coronavirus pandemic has rattled the world. Now, international space agencies have come together to show you the impacts of the virus outbreak on Earth via an interactive dashboard.
NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) developed the interactive dashboard to illustrate the worldwide changes in the environment, economy, agriculture, and more, since the pandemic outbreak.
The COVID-19 Earth Observation Dashboard collated several satellite data records with analytical tools to let users track visible changes on planet Earth. By using the various tools available, visitors can see changes that have occurred during the quarantine period in terms of shipping activity in ports, city lights during the night, the number of parked cars, and so on.
Users will be able to look at the impacts on a global scale, or on a specific location by zooming into their home areas.
