Britney Spears’ Odd Pride Message ‘At LGBTQ+ Community’ Inspires Jokes From Fans

Britney Spears’ Pride celebration video has gone viral for the wrong reasons.
The pop star shared the clip on her social media platforms, wishing her LGBTQ+ followers a happy Pride month. However, fans seemed to be fixated on how Spears had given a shoutout to LGBTQ+ individuals as if they were a physical location.
Dressed in black, Spears spoke enthusiastically to the camera: “To all my friends at the LGBTQ+ community, happy Pride Month.”
“You guys bring so much heart, passion, and articulate everything you do. I love you so much it hurts,” she continued.
Her fans responded to her clip with positive comments, calling her a “queen” and “gay icon.” However, many viewer laughed at Spears’ odd language, like how she praised LGBTQ+ people for “articulating everything they do” and describing the community like it was a place, instead of a group of people.
“Who wants to head down to the good old LGBTQ+ community with me? We can articulate the things we do,” one Twitter user joked. “She said at the LGBTQ+ community like we all live in a clubhouse,” another user poked fun at her.
