NASA Combats COVID-19 With A Necklace That Vibrates When You Touch Your Face

The coronavirus pandemic has forced people to pick up crucial hygiene practices to avoid the spread of the virus. A couple of such observations would be to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face too often. Now, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab has created a wearable device to prevent you from doing the latter.
NASA’s Pulse necklace comes with a pendant, which vibrates when your hands come close in contact with it. This is to help you keep your hand away from your facial area as you mindlessly go about your day.
The device was developed by three members at the lab to help curb the virus spread.
The gadget, however, is not available for purchase from a store, so NASA has released design instructions for everyone to recreate the wearable device for free. You’ll need a few objects aside from a 3D printer to put it together, such as a soldering tool, wires, a motor, and a coin battery.
