Watch: NASA Unveils Phenomenal 10-Year Time Lapse Of The Sun In 4K Resolution

Almost every day, you get to see the sun rise and set—but when was the last time you did that?
Now, you can observe the sun in all its glory without hurting your retinas through a one-hour-long video by NASA, which packs in 10-year observations of the stunning star.
The footage compiles images captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), an “unblinking eye” that records the sun at all times, over the decade. The technology notes specific ultraviolet wavelengths, allowing experts to study the sun’s corona, its outermost layer.
The sun’s movements can be viewed in NASA’s latest time-lapse clip, available in up to 4K resolution. The observation of the sphere of hot plasma can help scientists learn and understand more about the star to predict various natural occurrences that affect Earth, like solar storms.
