Lili Reinhart Apologizes For Nude Snap Used To Demand Justice For Breonna Taylor

Lili Reinhart has apologized for her Instagram photo where she flashed her sideboob to draw attention to the Breonna Taylor case.
The actress joined the internet in raising awareness for Taylor, who was shot dead by the police in her bed. To gather the attention of her fans, Reinhart posted a photo of her being topless at the beach, with her legs folded and arms crossed to protect her modesty.
In the original post, she wrote, “Now that my sideboob has gotten your attention, Breonna Taylor’s murderers have not been arrested. Demand justice.”
Many social media users weren’t happy with her racy tribute and called her out on Twitter. Many thought Reinhart had taken the opportunity to turn Taylor’s death into a meme and a “marketing tactic.”
Reinhart later removed the photo, and took to Twitter to apologize for posting the picture. She told fans that she has always “tried to use” her platform to speak about things that are “important to [her].”
“I also can admit when I make a mistake and I made a mistake with my caption. It was never my intent to insult anyone and I’m truly sorry to those that were offended,” she continued.
In a series of follow-up tweets, she explained that she would learn to be better and understood why her caption came off as “tone-deaf.”
“I truly had good intentions and did not think it through that it could come off as insensitive,” she tweeted.
