Facebook And Instagram Will Soon Remind You To Wear Your Face Mask

Facebook and Instagram will soon remind you to wear your face mask and steer away from fake news through their new COVID-19 Information Center.

Facebook released a statement saying that it will add reminders to news feeds in hopes to encourage people to cover their faces amid the virus crisis. Facebook-owned Instagram will also showcase alerts to promote social responsibility during the pandemic.

To prevent fake news and conspiracy theories regarding the virus on its platforms, Facebook and Instagram will also introduce a COVID-19 Information Center filled with links to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s advice on the virus spread.
