This Music Festival Lineup Generator Lets You Relive 90s Concerts At Random

You can now relive a made-up music festival from the 1990s via a music festival generator site created by Twitter user @ricomonkeon. The website, as described by the creator, features “wonky VHS footage of all your indie favorites.”
When you head on to the website, it will list out two random festival lineups each time with iconic musicians and bands from the past. You can then click on any of them and watch a past concert.
Suede’s bassist Mat Osman shared the website and joked that he will not accept the auto-generated lineup until his band is “higher on the bill than Midnight Oil.”
In one attempt, a fake lineup named headliners as David Bowie and Van Morrison. The rest of the list consisted of Lou Reed, Fatboy Slim, Sex Pistols and more.
Another attempt saw Nirvana and Beastie Boys as headliners, with Bjork, Al Green, Elliott Smith, and more, listed underneath. Other lineups included Metallica, Blondie, Radiohead, The Stone Roses. Upon clicking on Nirvana, the website opened a video of the band’s 1991 Reeding Fesstival concert video.
Notably, all of these concerts are from bands that played in the UK back in the 90s. Try out the generator for yourself, and you might end up discovering your dream lineup of musicians from the past.
