Cats Are Being Offered Eggs To See If They’ll Protect Them From Cracking

Cats are not often recognized for being kind and empathetic. Nevertheless, a new TikTok trend is putting them up to the test on whether they can take responsibility and protect a fragile egg from cracking or not.
The trend seemed to have been started by TikTok user @annao, who posted a video of her cat being handed an egg. “Apparently if you give a cat an egg, they protect it, because it’s fragile,” she said in the video.
Her audio note has since turned into a trend, inspiring others to try out the same challenge with their feline friends. Surprisingly, many have impressed their owners by safekeeping the vulnerable eggs within their paws under their necks or blankets.
Of course, there are also some cats that presume the eggs are new toys to play with. Other divas have lived up to their reputation of being angsty and moody by knocking over the eggs and cracking them within seconds.
