Havaianas Flip-Flops Are Either Blue Or White, And Internet Has No Sole Answer

The internet can never agree on the same things, a truth that’s been proven by the notorious ‘Dress’ debate in 2015 where no one could decide if a dress was either blue and black or white and gold.
Over the years, you’ve seen similar illusions that likewise throw everyone off. However, there’s probably no image as annoyingly reminiscent of The Dress as this photo of Havaianas flip-flops just waiting to rip internet users apart left, right, and down to their very soles.
Much like the infamous optical-illusion garment, the picture of the Havaianas footwear, uploaded by Facebook user Lacie Marie, is dividing opinions about whether the pair is blue and black or white and gold.

Tension is once again afoot in this toe-to-toe fight.
“Blows my mind that people see gold and white,” one Facebook user responds. “Where is the blue?” another person questions.
Luckily for frustrated onlookers, this sandal-ous confusion was already addressed by Havaianas in 2016, as the same image had been circulating then.
Those who guessed blue and black are a step ahead of the others, though they’re also not fully correct. The sandals and flip-flop giant told Pedestrian TV then, “The thong [the word for flip-flops in British English] have answered your prayers… Havaianas have confirmed the official coloring is navy blue and blue.”
