Trump’s Campaign Claims To Show ‘Chaos’ In US But Uses Image Of Ukraine Protests

Donald Trump’s campaign team has released a new ad that shows an exaggerated portrayal of cities if they were led by the Democrats.
The ad showed a group of protesters gathering around a police officer, who might have been attacked. Next to it showed Trump and his team listening to a law enforcement figure as he spoke. The campaign aims to persuade viewers that there would be “Chaos and Violence“ if Biden wins presidency.
Unfortunately, former Hillary Clinton’s spokesperson Jesse Lehrich pointed out that the brawl was actually a photo from 2014, and it was taken at a pro-democracy protest in Ukraine.
Lehrich shared the misrepresentation on Twitter, and wrote that Trump’s campaign team might have downloaded the photo from Wikipedia, which states that it was shot in Kyiv, Ukraine. Photographer Mstyslav Chernov, the man behind the photo, has also confirmed to HuffPost with the details of the snap. At that time, Ukraine was rebelling against its president, Viktor Yanukovych.
Trump’s ad campaign has been taken down on Facebook and the team has not commented on it.
