Terry Crews Wants Pornhub To Be Defunded And People Aren’t Turned On By It

Terry Crews recently went on Twitter to demand the defunding of adult streaming site Pornhub, and many aren’t pleased about it.
The tweet is followed by a viral campaign called #Traffickinghub, which requests for the site to be shut down as it is said to enable mass sex trafficking.
“Defund Pornhub,” Crews wrote on Twitter while tagging the account of Fight The New Drug, a nonprofit raising awareness on detrimental effects of pornography and exploitation.
The word “defund” has become popularized in recent months as people are calling for the motion to remove police resources after the death of George Floyd, who was killed by a Minneapolis cop.
However, Pornhub cannot be defunded as it is privately funded, unlike governing agencies such as the State or Federal Government. So, the post by Crews predictably left many perplexed.
“But… Pornhub isn’t publicly funded? I’m confused,” one user tweeted.
Some users debated over the pros and cons of adult content, but most users were just taken aback by Crews’ choice of words.

Masturbation is healthy, self love is healthy. PornHub gives safe platforms to sex workers--to say nothing of the artists who got kicked off Tumblr--and generates revenue for them.
Are there issues with the industry? Absolutely. Is going after PornHub the answer? No.
But... Porhub isn't publicly funded? I'm confused.
