A Sports Illustrated swimsuit model has found a way to make a one-piece look covered yet sexy at the same time.

Haley Kalil promised her mother that she would wear a one-piece number instead of a raunchy swimsuit for the magazine’s shoot. While she kept her word, she also found a way to get around it.

In a cheeky behind-the-scenes video, Kalil said, “The rules were a one piece,” as she showed off her garment to her fans. She looked like she was fully covered at first but when she turned around, the back of the swimsuit appeared to be nothing more that a single string that held everything together.

The white string went across her shoulders and joined to create a tiny string bottom that ran down her butt.

“When your mum tells you that she wants you to only shoot in one piece, mom it’s technically a one piece,” she captioned the video. Her fans seemed to enjoy the joke, and many compared her outfit to “dental floss.”



“Is that a bathing suit of a face mask?” a user joked, to which she replied, “It works as both. Quite the multipurpose item. Some may even use it as dental floss.”

@si_swimsuit has OFFICIALLY hit stands!!! I I broke down crying when I received the phone call that I would be shooting for the 2020 issue. The world sees these beautiful images.... but what they may not see is the moments between these shots that have changed my life and countless others. I have never felt more at ease and confident in the body I live in. There’s an undeniably positive energy on the SI Swimsuit set. You are surrounded by powerhouse men and women who work their butts off to capture beauty. They give their heart and soul to this art.
