‘Justice League’ Teaser Shows Henry Cavill In Scrapped-Off Black Superman Suit

Justice Con hosted an exclusive YouTube chat last Saturday. and the star of the panel was Zack Snyder, director of the 2017 DC superhero movie Justice League.
Snyder spoke about Justice League: The Snyder Cut and the film is set to be released on HBO in 2021. He also showed a brief clip from the film of Henry Cavill as Superman in an all-black costume.
The clip showed the resurrected Superman meeting with Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s butler. The suit is similar to the comic book’s iteration of the character when he came back from the dead.
This was a huge leap from Superman’s signature blue and red garment, which was destroyed by Doomsday. According to Snyder, the studio was against the black suit because it was giving off a serious tone. Therefore, Snyder had to film the scene in the original garment.
“I would argue for the black suit all the time and they said it was not a good idea. I knew it was the correct evolution for him after he rose from the dead. But the perception of the black suit was just, ‘You’re trying to make the movie dark and not hilarious,’” Snyder said.
Fans saw the all-black Superman suit and shared their reactions on Twitter “They took one of the Superman costumes that already exists and made it black! Wow! I have to go ponder if I can handle the changes,” a Twitter fan wrote. “After four years of speculating and wishing for it, we finally get to see it,” another said.
