Elon Musk took to Twitter to post a series of tweets including one reading, “Pronouns sucks.” This tweet, specifically, led many to believe that he was disrespecting the individual pronoun choices of those in the LGBTQ+ community.

Many began criticizing the Tesla CEO and tagged his partner, Grimes, under his tweet. The musician responded to the backlash by writing a tweet to Musk, which has since been deleted.

“I love you but please turn off [your] phone or give me a dall [sic],” her post read. “I cannot support hate. Please stop this. I know this isn’t your heart,” she added.
