Kanye West’s Ballot Signatures Fuel Doubts As They Seem To Bear Same Handwriting

Kanye West’s presidential bid has met yet another hurdle. After somehow surpassing the 800 signatures required to have his name on the New Jersey ballot in time despite belated campaign efforts, West’s petition has been challenged by a lawyer who suspects it contains hundreds of faulty signatures.
Democratic election law attorney Scott Salmon stated in his complaint with the state Division of Elections that, upon examination of West’s signature sheet, he discovered that more than 600 of the 1,327 signatures submitted by West for the New Jersey ballot were either incomplete or appeared to have been written from the same hand.
The attorney noted that much of the penmanship throughout the form was remarkably alike, even down to the circled lower-case i’s. Some voters also didn’t provide their addresses.
“Mr West’s petitions do not contain the valid signatures of 800 qualified voters and should have been rejected by the Division,” Salmon proclaimed.
In a recent tweet, Salmon pointed out that a number of purported New Jerseyan voters had written their place of residence as “New Wark” [sic]. “No self-respecting New Jerseyan would refer to Newark in that way,” he added.
Should the 600 signatures be voided, it would mean that West will not be able to have his name on the NJ ballot, as the total number of qualified voters will only be in the 700s.

Looking through these @kanyewest petitions again and I think (I THINK), there are a bunch of signatures from people claiming to live in "New Wark." No self-respecting New Jerseyan would refer to Newark in that way.
