Charlize Theron Shaves Head For Epic ‘Mad Max’ Transformation In Throwback Video

Charlize Theron’s role in Mad Max: Fury Road is truly iconic, but did you know that the actress shaved her own head for her character, Furiosa?
Theron shared a clip of her transformation into the badass character, and she looked a little shocked as she buzzed away her hair for the 2015 post-apocalyptic action film in honor of the movie drive-in screening at The Grove in Los Angeles.
“Okay, here we go,” she said in the clip. She held clippers in her hand and began shaving her blonde locks. The actress appeared to be nervous yet excited as her hair began falling to the floor.
Theron told ET back in 2015 about her decision to shave her head for the movie. “I just had this moment where I was like, ‘I need to shave my head! I can’t think about what I’m going to do with my hair in this movie,” she said. “The next day we did it. I can’t imagine doing it any other way.”
