Donald Trump’s Team Debuts 2020 Campaign Masks For ‘Patriotic Americans’

After months of reluctance to wear face covers and dismissing them as mere political statements, the Donald Trump campaign began retailing masks on Monday as part of its 2020 reelection bid.
On the official Donald Trump shop, visitors are told to “Keep America Safe!” as “nothing is more Patriotic than wearing a Trump Face Cover!”
According to a statement published by Axios, Trump’s team described that the president “urges all patriotic Americans to wear a face cover when they are unable to socially distance.”
The store now retails 18 US$15 face masks and US$18 neck covers of varying colors and printed text. Some simply read as “TRUMP” or “MAGA,” while others come branded with the Trump-Pence 2020 logo. Customers can purchase the coverings in red, navy blue, white, royal blue, or in a camo print.
The masks are “Proudly Made in USA” and “designed for everyday use, [and] not medical grade,” as are most cloth covers.
Notably, the garments don’t fall under the store’s ‘2020’ category but dominate the ‘Accessories’ section instead.
The campaign’s selling of masks comes months after the Joe Biden team began debuting their own in late May.
