Elon Musk Is Now The Fourth Richest Person In The World

This week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s net worth surged to US$84.8 billion on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily ranking of the richest people in the world.
Musk’s net worth saw the increase after Tesla Inc. shares grew by 11 percent on 17 August 2020, boosting his fortune by US$7.8 billion. This allowed the 49-year-old to overtake French luxury juggernaut Bernard Arnault, the most affluent non-American on the index currently.
Musk now sits
The SpaceX CEO had amassed US$57.2 billion in wealth this year alone, making him the second largest accession on the index after Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos, who triumphs at the first position in the Bloomberg list with a net worth of US$195 billion.
